Getting Started with NativePay

You don't need a background in blockchain to use NativePay. This guide walks you through the entire setup process — from downloading the app to completing your first transaction — in about five minutes.

Step 1: Download the App

Search for "NativePay" in the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). Download and install the app. It's free.

Once installed, open the app. You'll see two options: Create New Wallet and Import Existing Wallet. If this is your first time, tap Create New Wallet.

Step 2: Secure Your Recovery Phrase

This is the most important step. NativePay will generate a 12-word recovery phrase — a unique sequence of words that is the master key to your wallet.

Write it down on paper. Store it somewhere safe.

Do not:

Your recovery phrase is the only way to recover your wallet if you lose your phone. NativePay cannot recover it for you. This is what "non-custodial" means: you are in full control.

After writing down your phrase, the app will ask you to confirm it by selecting words in order. This ensures you've actually recorded it.

Step 3: Set Up Your PIN

Choose a 6-digit PIN to secure the app on your device. You can also enable Face ID or fingerprint authentication for faster access.

Your PIN is separate from your recovery phrase. The PIN locks the app on your device. The recovery phrase is what unlocks your wallet from any device.

Step 4: Explore Your Dashboard

Once set up, you'll see your wallet dashboard. It shows:

Tap Receive on any asset to see your wallet address and QR code for that asset.

Step 5: Add Funds

To add crypto to your wallet, you have a few options:

Buy directly. Use a credit card or bank transfer to purchase crypto directly in the app (subject to regional availability).

Transfer from an exchange. If you have crypto on Coinbase, Binance, or another exchange, you can send it to your NativePay wallet address. Tap Receive, copy your address, and paste it in the exchange's withdrawal screen.

Receive from a friend. Share your address or QR code and have someone send you crypto.

Step 6: Make Your First Transaction

Once you have some crypto in your wallet, try sending a small amount to test the process. Tap Send, enter an address (you can send to yourself on another wallet if you want to test safely), choose an amount, and confirm.

You'll see the transaction appear in your history immediately as "Pending" and confirm within seconds on BNB Chain.

Tips for New Users

Start small. Send a small test transaction before moving large amounts.

Double-check addresses. Crypto transactions are irreversible. Always verify the recipient address before confirming.

Keep the app updated. Security improvements and new features come with each update.
